Message: We had several different issues with the larger car rental places before finding this gem! We wanted a Jeep Wrangler and they had what we needed.. We were able to speak to an actual person in the office and go over the details of our rental without dealing with all of the online hassles. For me, that was great! The team members were friendly and helpful beyond the car rental giving us advice about places to see on the island. And, we get a shuttle back to the airport at the end of our stay! Message: Kihei RAC is the best on the island. The rates are less than the chain places. Even Costco. The cars are clean and well maintained. The best part is the people. They are friendly and have a true since of Aloha. They quickly pick you up from the airport and the return shuttle runs every hour. It's the only rental car I'm gonna use going forward.

Message: Wonderful! Very happy with this place. It is run by very friendly and helpful locals. Cars are used/few years old but in excellent condition. We never had any problems. Prices very reasonable compared to renting from airport Reserve early.

Message: Reservations on line was easy, quick and accurate. Pick up at the airport was prompt and the paperwork for the rental was quick. The AC worked well and the vehicle was clean. Day 3 we had a check engine light come on. They switched us out in less than 15 minutes and we were on our way. We have used this company for the past 15 years and they still maintain great prices and safe reliable used cars.. Further UPDATE - while on island I needed a van or truck for about two hours to pick up some chairs. Everywhere I checked for a rental they wanted more than the chairs cost me to buy. LOWE's had delivery but basically the same cost as a rental.. Kihei gave me a fantastic deal for the few hours I needed. Van had tons of room and the AC with blizzard cold which was great as often vans take a while to cool because of the large interior space.. If you need a van and the other rental agencies are not interested in customer service give these guys a shout.

Message: Really great experience booking a car from here. Spoke to Acacia on the phone and she was so friendly and sweet when making my reservation. The shuttle was waiting for us as promised at the airport and picking up the car was extremely fast and painless. Much appreciated the smooth rental process as we had been traveling all day and were tired. The gentleman who helped us at the counter was very nice and friendly and offered suggestions for good places to eat etc. Our car was clean, reliable and cheap to fill up the tank. The A/C in the car didn’t work but we decided it wasn’t a big deal for us as we enjoyed feeling the Maui breezes with windows down. I’m sure we could have asked to switch to a different car with A/C and they would have accommodated because they are a very nice family run business. Drop off was super easy and quick as well and the shuttle took us right back to the airport for departure. Would rent from them again!

Message: Thank you team for such a warm first welcome to Maui. I arrived on the island and was in stress mode as my aunt could not come with me last minute so I had to do a last minute solo trip. Ryan drove me over to the rental shop from the airport and made me feel very relaxed. We also shared stories about our lives and it already made me feel at home! The whole experience was quick and easy. During the middle of my rental, the car’s air pressure was alerting as low. The team simply replaced the car I was using without any additional fees. The drop off was also extremely swift and easy, with the bonus of a free shuttle back to the airport. The car works perfectly on the Road to Hana and the summit to Haleakalā.. When I come back to Maui, I am definitely coming back to Kihei Rent A Car! Thanks team!

Message: This is the spot to rent a car from if you’re going to Maui. I’ve rented from them several times and each time has been a fantastic experience. I’ve only had an issue with one car and they exchanged it out no issue with less than a 5 minute notice. Would absolutely recommend them over any chain rental car company any day.
